Introduction

With the rapid spread and expansion of the Internet and other technologies, the protection of personal information is a quickly growing concern.
Tsubakimoto Kogyo Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "the Company") considers it their social responsibility to protect the personal information of customers entrusted to us through its business activities. The Company’s basic policy regarding the handling of personal information is as follows.

1. Basic principles of personal information protection

  1. (1)The Company shall comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other related laws and regulations.
  2. (2)The Company shall establish regulations for management of personal information and ensure that all employees are familiar with their operation.
  3. (3)In principle, the Company will collect the minimum amount of personal information necessary for business purposes.
  4. (4)When acquiring personal information, the Company shall specify its purpose of use, notify and announce it, and handle it within the scope of the purposes of use.
  5. (5)The Company shall not disclose personal information to external third parties, except with the consent of the concerned individual or when required by law, unless it falls under the exceptions listed in "Disclosure of personal information" below.

2. Clarification of purposes of use, and prohibition of use for other purposes

When personal information is provided by customers, the scope of its use shall be limited to the following purposes, except when the purpose is clearly stated in advance. In the event that it becomes necessary to use personal information received by customers for purposes beyond the scope of use, the Company shall notify customers of the purpose in advance. Customers who do not agree to any new purposes may refuse such use at their own discretion.

Purposes of use of personal information entrusted to the Company by customers

  1. (A)To provide customers with information about the products and services the Company offers.
  2. (B)To deliver to customers products they have requested.
  3. (C)To deliver materials, catalogs, and samples requested by customers.
  4. (D)To provide customers with information via e-mail.
  5. (E)To respond to opinions of and requests from customers.

3. Disclosure of personal information

Personal information provided by customers shall not be provided or disclosed to third parties except in the following cases. In addition, in the event that a customer wishes to disclose, correct, add, delete, suspend use of, or erase his/her own personal data held by the Company, the Company shall respond to such requests after confirming the person’s identity.

  1. (A)With the consent of the customer.
  2. (B)When disclosing information in a manner so that the individual customer cannot be identified.
  3. (C)When outsourcing business to an external contractor who has entered into a confidentiality agreement in advance.
  4. (D)When required by law.
  5. (E)When doing so is necessary for protection of life, body, or property, for public health reasons, or for cooperation with the government, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual.
  6. (F)In the event of succession of business through a joint venture, corporate split, business transfer, or other such reasons.

4. Shared use of personal information

Personal information provided by customers will be shared among the Company’s subsidiaries, affiliated companies and distributors, and the companies of the Tsubakimoto Chain Group.

    1. 1.Customer's name, address, age, gender, telephone number, fax number, e-mail address, company name, organization name, job title, industry, ID, password, etc.
    2. 2.Negotiation and contract history of products handled by the Company
    3. 3.History of participation in exhibitions, events, etc.
    4. 4.Direct mail and other received information
  2. (B)Scope of parties jointly using personal data
    The Company's subsidiaries, affiliated companies, distributors who have concluded distributorship agreements with the Company, and companies of the Tsubakimoto Chain Group who have concluded agency agreements with the Company.

    Same as the purposes of use in 2 above

5. Management of personal information

The Company shall appoint a person in charge of managing customer personal information, and manage it appropriately and strictly.
In addition, the Company shall also establish and strictly operate regulations for management of personal information in order to prevent loss, misuse, and alteration of personal information.

6. Cookies

A cookie is a small data file that this website writes to a user’s hard disk, for example, to recognize pages visited by the user. It does not constitute information that can identify an individual.
