Initiatives on investment in human capital

The Group’s corporate mission is to utilize its technical expertise built up through years of experience as a general trading company dealing in machinery and technology, bringing new value to industrial customers through optimized product management. In order to realize this mission, we actively invest in human resources so that each and every employee can grow autonomously and reach their full potential.

Human capital policy

We have established the following specific policies based on a recognition of the importance of developing human resources and improving the internal environment.

  1. Human education policy

    As a general trading company dealing in machinery and technology, in order to bring new value to industrial customers, the Group’s basic policy for human resource development is to promote self-sustaining growth through mutual enlightenment among employees with different backgrounds, knowledge, and skills, and to assign personnel to positions that enable them to reach their full potential.

  2. Internal environment improvement policy

    The Group’s policy is to promote the development of a free, open-minded and healthy internal environment and to work toward the realization of diverse and flexible working styles so that each and every employee can grow autonomously and fulfill their potential.

Specific initiatives include direct recruiting for diverse human resources, referral recruitment for experienced employees, recruiting female career-track employees, and recruiting senior managing engineers and other senior personnel. As a measure for employee growth, we have introduced cafeteria-based e-learning for all employees as well as e-learning on technical basics for younger employees.

In terms of the internal environment, we have introduced a hot desking policy at our Tokyo and Osaka Head Offices and are working to create office spaces that are more comfortable to work in and that generate co-creation among employees.

Implementation of health management

We will implement health management with the aim of improving productivity and profitability in the future by making investments to improve the health of employees.

  1. Health management declaration

    We recognize each individual employee of the Group as an important management resource,
    and believe that maintaining and improving the health of employees will bring vibrancy to the organization while maximizing corporate value and leading to sustainable growth.
    In order for employees to maintain both their physical and mental health, we declare that we shall address the important management issue of building a sound working environment that is comfortable and brings job satisfaction.

  2. Structure for implementing health management

    President overseeing administration shall have ultimate responsibility for the management of employee health. The Human Resources & General Affairs Department and Health & Safety Committee shall work with the Japan Health Insurance Association and occupational physicians in each district to implement health management.
